How do I order?
Ordering is quick and easy!
Add selected items to your cart, hit ‘Checkout’ and follow the prompts. At The Bento Buzz all orders over $149.00 (after any discounts) are shipped for FREE within Australia using Australia Post eParcel with signature.
What payment methods do you accept?
Online payment methods accepted are Paypal, Credit Card (via Paypal, you do not need a Paypal account) zipPay and Afterpay (shop now – pay later!).

Do you accept NSW Back To School Vouchers?
Unfortunately as a Queensland based business we are not eligible to participate in this scheme.
Shipping Information:
At The Bento Buzz all orders over $149 (after any discounts) are shipped via standard shipping with signature for FREE!
We post Australia Wide via Australia Post eParcel with signature on delivery. Shipping service is dependant on order size and delivery location so occasionally it will be necessary to send via a courier service.
Express Post is available by selecting 'Express Shipping' or 'Express Shipping Upgrade' at checkout. Express shipping means the package will take the Australia Post express post networks (when possible) while in transit. Express Post is not an overnight service.
Priority Pack & Dispatch + Express Shipping is available at checkout during peak sale periods. If you select this option your order is bumped to the front of the dispatch queue for priority packing and is sent via the express network.
Please ensure all postage details are clear and accurate. Re-delivery due to incorrect postage details, insufficient information or not collecting the parcel from the pick up point in time, will incur a $9.90 surcharge (as charged by eParcel to Return To Sender) plus another postage charge as charged by Australia Post to reship to you. If your item is returned to sender and you prefer a refund, the refund will be minus the initial shipping paid and the eParcel Return To Sender Fee of $9.90.
When will my order arrive?
At The Bento Buzz our packing team are busy bees dispatching orders Monday to Thursday. We endeavour to dispatch orders next business day but during our peak times (October-March and during sales) we experience a greater influx of orders and this may extend to 3-5 working days. We will not post prior to full payment, including postage, being received.
If you have any concerns over the status of your parcel, you can locate your tracking link in shipping confirmation email. Every parcel sent by us is trackable from lodgement to delivery and we email a shipping confirmation on dispatch. If you have not received a shipping confirmation, please check email spam folders as it may have filtered there.
In the rare circumstance that a parcel is missing, The Bento Buzz will launch an investigation with the delivery service to locate it. Investigation times vary by service and the resolution will depend on the report findings. In the unfortunate event of a parcel deemed lost by the courier, the order will be reshipped.
Australia Post provides no provision for us to outline specific delivery instructions with their parcel delivery services.
What are the Personalised Item dispatch times?
Yes! We can permanently engrave many silicone and powder coated items here at The Bento Buzz! Those with personalisation options have information included on their product page. Please allow an additional 5-7 working days for this process to be completed, though it is usually much quicker.
What packaging materials do you use?
The Bento Buzz is committed to tackling plastic pollution and is continually taking steps to reduce our consumption of avoidable and single-use plastics. Our team is passionate about reducing, reusing and recycling our day to day business materials.
You may find your order of bento goodies arrives in a reused cardboard box we received our stock in. The boxes we cannot, or that are unsuitable for resending, we shred in our own warehouse into protective honeycomb packaging used to pad and fill delicate or glass items in boxes.
We dispatch small or light parcels in compostable satchels. These satchels are 100% home-compostable and made from 70-80% PBAT (a co-polymer that is completely compostable) and 20-30% PLA (which is a fancy way of saying cornstarch).
To compost them at home, it’s best to remove any labels, cut them up and place in your compost bin as “brown” materials. *Don't compost too quick though, these satchels are double taped and designed to be reused, so please cut where indicated so you can reseal and use again!
We use fully recyclable and/or biodegradable packaging tape, 100% recycled copy paper (where needed) and shred then compost our paper waste.
Please note: There may be extenuating circumstances that require us to use alternate packing products though we constantly work to ensure this does not happen.
The Bento Buzz a stockist for hundreds of suppliers and distributors, all with different means and methods for dispatching their own items. Unfortunately what protective packaging is sent to us with products from other companies is out of our control. We will send the item to our customers as it is received by us, and how it is deemed necessary by the supplier to send on. However, we constantly endeavour to never add additional, unnecessary plastics where possible.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes! Pick up is back from our temporary warehouse in Upper Coomera. A small lunchbox display is also available for viewing (please note, we have no facilities to process the order in person).
Orders are usually ready for collection between 24-48 hours (excluding weekends and public holidays). Collection hours are 9am-2pm Monday to Friday.
Do you post internationally?
Yes! We currently ship Express only to New Zealand via Australia Post and partner couriers. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Any import customs and/or duties owed are the responsibility of the customer.
What if an item I've ordered is out of stock?
All items are subject to availability. We do our very best to ensure all advertised items are in stock and available for immediate dispatch. Very rarely an item may oversell in times of high demand, in this case an item may be substituted for a similar like product or colour if one is available or if a substitution is not available a prompt refund of the item will be issued so your goodies can be dispatched from our fast moving processing line just as quickly.
The item I want is on pre-order, what is that?
A ‘pre-order’ is an item of high demand that is on back order and is in transit to us from the distributor. Pre-order items have an ‘estimated release date’ which is the date given to us by the distributor for when it will arrive to us. The ‘estimated release date’ is advertised on the product page. Stock can arrive earlier, or later, that the ‘estimated’ date that is given. Customs and transit delays are unforeseen and unpredictable but sometimes do occur which can delay items arriving.
Orders containing a pre-order item will be held until the pre-order item is in stock, the entire order will then be sent in the next day’s dispatch. If you would like your other items sent earlier please purchase in two separate transactions.
I have a discount code, what can I use it on?
Oh lucky duck! Occasionally we will have discount codes activated for select promotions. These discount codes cannot be used on already discounted items, bundles, shipping and gift voucher products. Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other code or at the showroom. Any available free shipping codes are standard shipping only, unless otherwise stated. Any available discount codes will become unavailable during storewide sales or promotions.
Do you refund or exchange for change of mind?
If you change your mind on an unwashed and unused item within 30 days of purchase you are welcome to post it back for an exchange. Once we confirm the item is still in brand new condition, an exchange code for the item’s value will be emailed to you to purchase an exchange. Items must be in 100% unopened, unwashed, unused condition to be accepted back, if they are received in any other condition the parcel will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense. Bundle products must be returned in full for exchanges, we cannot exchange individual items within bundles. Postage costs associated with returning and receiving the new item, and the item price difference, are wholly the customers. Exchange codes are valid for 12 months from date of activation.
We do not refund for change of mind. We are happy to help you select the perfect item for your needs, please email before ordering.
No change of mind exchanges or refunds for change of mind on a Mystery Item purchase are possible.
No change of mind exchanges or refunds on Sprinks Sprinkles or Edible Pens. Sprinkle inclusions may vary.
I want to cancel my order, what now?
If you wish to cancel your processing order before dispatch or an order awaiting a pre-order item, please email the team at hello@thebentobuzz.com.au as soon as possible. Please note that a 15% restocking fee will be charged and that will be deducted from the transaction total refunded to you. The restocking fee covers the administration costs incurred due to the change of mind.
I think my item is incorrect, broken or faulty.
In the unlikely event your item is defective, damaged or incorrect on arrival, please email with clear pictures and description within 48 hours of it arriving to you and we will do our best to rectify the situation. All items are checked and cross checked by two people on our packing team before leaving us.
If you believe your item is faulty or requires a warranty claim, please email us at hello@thebentobuzz.com.au with multiple clear pictures and/or video, a clear description of the fault and your order number. We will forward the information to the product distributor and liaise with them on your behalf. The process time varies depending on distributor and season (up to 14 business days during peak times) and we will be in touch as soon as we hear the final decision from the distributor.
Please be aware that if a product is not suitable your child, it does not mean it has a fault. Different products require a different skill level for normal, functional use. Some children may struggle depending on age or ability, we are happy to help you select the right product for their needs, please contact us prior to purchasing if you are unsure.
Wear and tear is a normal part of any product being used and common with products made for, and used by, children. Wear and tear is not a fault created during the manufacture process and is not claimable under manufacturers warranty.
