Ohh, Hey There!

It's about time The Bento Buzz created a blog, don't you think? We do!

In a few months it will be our sixth birthday and all I can say to that is "Wow!" That milestone is something I'm so thankful for, it's rare for small business to reach that ripe, old age. And you know what? That flew by! From one small room in my home, then my garage, then to my garage plus off-site storage and now to our warehouse and showroom in Helensvale on the Gold Coast, it's been a roller-coaster of an adventure for sure! And I wouldn't change a single moment. 

The Bento Buzz was born from a passion to create deliciously bright and inviting meals for my daughter over 10 years ago. As she grew, I needed something to take her snacks and lunches out with us and very quickly, my lunch box and bento decoration stash did too. And so did my need to enable everyone else around me to use a bento box, and just like that, The Bento Buzz began!

It's still a passion. If you come into our showroom I could chat to you for hours about all our lunch boxes, insulated bags, bottles and accessories. It's my most favourite part of the business! On school holidays you'll often see my two kids floating around (probably asking me if they can eat their packed lunch boxes even though it's only 9:15am!) and my husband who has an active role in our family biz even though he has his own demanding full time job. And we love it!

And luckily for me, I also have an amazing team, all bento-using parents themselves, to do all the other business-y bits I'm not good at. Collectively we have 18 children! There's decades of lunch packing experience and understanding under one roof at The Bento Buzz! We're a wealth of knowledge. Have a question? Ask us!
